Makara found the tortoises to be strange because they were slow, and carried their homes on their backs. He found the snakes to be slimy creatures that made funny voices. His reason for disliking lizards was that he believed they had the strangest habits, and some of them even changed colour.

Answer:
When the tortoises left the forest, there was no one to eat the rotting fruits and animals on the ground. So, the forest became to smell terribly because of the rot.

Similarly, when the snakes left, there was no one to eat the rats, and they took over the forest. They ate up the eggs of the lizards and crocodiles. As a result, there were no babies that year.

Again when the lizards left, all hell broke loose in the forest. The countless rats became a huge nuisance and the population of the frogs increased manifold. With this, there were too many insects to eat. The frogs grew bigger and nastier every day.

Yes, I agree that it is difficult not to get along with someone who is very strong and powerful. This is so because opposing such a person would create unnecessary problems and might turn others against us. But if I was completely in the right, I would definitely take a stand against such a person, if need be.

Yes, I would surely tell Makara about his mistake if I were the baby crocodile. I would tell him how his actions are affecting life in the forest. I would advise him not to misuse his power and act responsibly
