(i) Yes, I think it would be better to ask the elders first because the elders at my home do a lot of charity. They do not believe in having an excess of things. So mostly, we give away things every few months to the needy. I would never want to go behind their back and give away something that they think is still useful, or something for which they have another use in mind.

(ii) Yes. My cousin Kunal is the most talkative person in the family. He is five years elder to me, and tells us so many stories. He lives in Chennai, and tells us all about it. I find his stories to be very interesting, though sometimes I think he is making them up. He talks about magical places, fairies and wizards.

(iii) Yes, Rukku Manni has done exactly the same thing as the children. But she did not have any other choice. She is an adult, and she has the right to do whatever she pleases with the things at her home. She can easily explain the situation to her husband. In my opinion, she is right in chiding the children, because they put her in an embarrassing situation. But she takes it well. She is not furious with the children, but instead, she laughs it all off.
